Girl Portrait1 is of a young lady, this drawing was done in Charcoal on A1 paper.

Charcoal was one of my favourite mediums, some of my best drawings were created in this medium. It’s a messy medium, but I felt more free, more confident with each mark I laid on the paper.

The model sat for 3 hours whilst we all scratched and scrapped against our papers taped to our boards. She was really great to draw.
