Madonna’s Purity

Madonna’s Purity, one of the many interpretations of The Virgin Mary portraits.

Oil on board A4 in an ornate gold frame. This is my painted interpretation of Madonna del Magnificat, it was first painted in 1481 by Sandro Botticelli and is currently held in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.

I tried to capture the purity within the context of the whole painting (this being The Virgin Mary and having the Christ Child sitting on her lap) the Christ Child was not included within my finished piece.

Commissions undertaken or you can back order this painting which will be the same, but it will be subject to the colours being available. We will match the colours to the best of our ability.
