Bottle-0-Rum

Bottle-0-Rum is a mixed media piece of art created upon a bottle using lots of ephemera, and juxtaposition them in a way that is pleasing to the eye.

What is My Interpretation of Mixed Media?

It’s an unhampered art form, a creation – or should I say a ‘re-creation’ – of components freely found around us, like paper, plastics, metals, and pieces of wood, all being usable components. The only other thing you need is your creativity.

It’s probably not impossible, but unlikely that any two canvases , bottles or whatever is the chosen platform will be identical.

Mixed media is a great art genre as it takes lots of items that someone has regarded as waste and re-creates something else, something more beautiful to look at.

This medium is dynamic and boundless, creating many interesting focal points through a complexity of depth within its composition, as seen within my Bottle-0-Rum.

Lots of textures and objects simultaneously juxtaposed beside or on top of each other, all creating interesting little dips and valleys for an audience to view.

Mixed media, Collage, and Assemblages are creative expressions, and, are like little playing fields for our eyes.

In this day and age of recycling, this art form takes recycling to its best level. It was so rewarding making , my Bottle-0-Rum, knowing that I am saving things from going into the landfill sites, instead I am turning them into something that’s beautiful to look at.

I love recycling things and recreating them into something new, and even better if I can give it a new purpose.

You can commission a mixed media piece like this one in a choice of your colour (subject to colour availability) but as supplies are random no piece will be identical.
